The UTP cable and EPABX connection has to be made available by the subscriber at his own cost. BROAD TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUBSCRIPTION 1. The non-refundable subscription rate for obtaining Network Account for University Official and Residential subscriber is Rs. 3000/- for 2008-09. The non-refundable subscription rates for obtaining network account of UNS are as under: No. of Financial Year Period of Subscription Amount (Rs.) One year April 2008 to March 2009 Rs. 3000/- Subscriber acquiring account in the month of October or later shall be charged 50% of annual subscription rate and this subscription will be valid only upto 31st March for that financial year. 2. The UNS facility at rates mention at Sr. No. 1, will be available to the users having access to the computer facility with UTP cable connection, Ethernet card etc. in Windows environment. 3. The University subscriber will use UNS only for scientific explorative purpose in the interest of university. 4. The UNS will provide only one Email/Internet account for each UNS subscriber and will help & train the UNS subscriber for the first instance of installation of UNS account (Free of charge). 5. In case of congestion in the Internet Browsing Traffic, the University reserves the right to limit the University Residential Subscriber Internet connectivity only to after office hours. 6. Network hardware and cables layout will be the responsibility of the respective University Subscriber at his own cost. The University Network Services will provide only technical guidance related to networking. 7. The subscriber of UNS is not allowed to resale of the Internet Service. The services will be for the exclusive use of the subscriber for scientific explorative purpose only. 8. The subscriber of UNS is not allowed to use the service for Inter-active voice or fax messaging. 9. The subscriber is required to desist from sending unsolicited messaging via the UNS. 10. The subscriber is required to ensure that objectionable or obscene messages or communications, which are inconsistent with the established laws of the country, are not made by him or allow any other person using his password. 11. University may revise the tariff for the UNS from time to time at its discretion. 12. Subscriber assumes total responsibility and risk for the use of Internet Services. University does not make any express or implied warranties, representations or endorsements whatever including without limitation warranties of title or non-infringement, or the implied warranties of merchantability of fitness for particular purpose with regard to any merchandise, information of service provided through the Internet and they shall not be liable for any cost or damage arising either directly or indirectly from any such transaction. It is solely user's responsibility to evaluate the accuracy, completeness and usefulness of all opinions advice, services and other information, and the quality and merchantability of all types of merchandise, provided through the service or in the Internet generally. 13. Subscriber understands further that the Internet contains unedited materials some of which are sexually explicit or may be offensive to some people. Subscriber accesses such materials at his/her own risk. University has no control over/accepts no responsibility whatsoever for such materials. 14. Service is provided on "AS is and AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of title, non-infringement or implied warranties of merchantability of fitness for a particular purpose. 15. Under no circumstances shall university be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special punitive or consequential damages that results in any way from subscriber, use of or inability to use the service or to access the Internet or any part thereof, or subscriber reliance on or use of information service.
